The New York Wheel is a massive 630-foot tall ferris wheel being built in the St. George neighborhood of Staten Island, next to the Ferry Building and the soon-to-be-built Empire Outlets.

As long as it can keep it's construction schedule ahead of Dubai's planned 690-foot wheel, the New York Wheel will hold the title on the World's largest once open in early 2017.

Today, it appears construction has finally started on the Wheel.
