The New York Wheel is a massive 630-foot tall ferris wheel currently being built in the St. George neighborhood of Staten Island.

Over the summer, construction began on the footprint of the 630-foot-tall Ferris wheel, and by August, cranes arrived on site. The majority of the caissons have been planted, and construction of the Ferris wheel will begin early next year, with completion slated for the first half of 2017.

Following some minor changes to the parking structure's plan, are some new renderings of the New York Wheel available, with more here.
