Staten Island Places 630-Year-Targeted Time Capsule in New York Wheel Foundation

As mentioned previously, the New York Wheel is a massive 630-foot tall ferris wheel being built in the St. George neighborhood of Staten Island, next to the Ferry Building and the soon-to-be-built Empire Outlets.

The foundation of the wheel was poured last week, and in it, a time capsule was placed that will surely surprise the alien overlords who open it in the targeted 630 years. See what's inside the capsule in this video from the Staten Island Advance.

A time capsule with a dozen iconic symbols of Staten Island today is buried in concrete for an anticipated 630 years to celebrate the start of construction on the actual New York Wheel.
