The New York Wheel is a massive 630-foot tall ferris wheel currently being built in the St. George neighborhood of Staten Island.
As long as construction crews it can keep their schedule ahead of Dubai's planned 690-foot wheel, the New York Wheel will hold the title of the World's largest ferris wheel once open in early 2017, at least for a few months.
The wheel is expected to bring in more than 3.5+ million visitors a year, and hopes to bring more revenue to the borough by attracting visitors to the nearby Empire Outlets, concurrently in construction.
