Watch the Making of Authentic Italian Pasta in Brooklyn at Bushwick's Faro

Authentic pasta is made from scratch at Bushwick-based Italian restaurant, Faro. In this video from INSIDER, check out how chef Kevin Adey quickly rolls 13-20 different kinds of pasta from grains that are milled in-house. With a flick of a finger over a board or a quick knit, pasta patterns from radiatori to strigoli emerge before your very eyes.

Adey describes his process best:

Cooking pasta really is a celebration of the simplest ingredients. Very little pieces become one big whole at the end.

Check out Faro's website for more handmade pasta including a 6-Course pasta tasting menu available Friday and Saturday starting at $85.
