Ann Votaw, a 44-year-old former dancer, runs around New York City as Mrs. Claus during the holidays. She gives out cookies to strangers and chats with commuters on the subway. But it’s not as easy job, and Votaw says she’s had trouble finding work as people looking for holiday performers tend to prefer Santas. Votaw’s working to change that on behalf of all Mrs. Clauses.
