Toshi Salvino makes a living out of being a doll. The Brooklyn-based makeup artist is the de facto leader of a group of artists who turned their love of dolls into a lifestyle. The Cut talked to them about how dressing up in layers of lace and makeup helps them feel more like their true, unvarnished selves.
