[WATCH] James and Karla Murray Explore New York City: Jewish Food on the Lower East Side

Local pro photographers James and Karla Murray have a YouTube series in which they explore neighborhoods around New York City from their unique perspective. In this recent episode, watch as they give you a tour through some of the best Jewish Food spots found on the Lower East Side.

In this JEWISH FOOD TOUR of the LOWER EAST SIDE of #NYC, we visit some historic family-owned food businesses including a Kosher Jewish bakery and a classic Jewish steakhouse and also highlight a newly opened but highly acclaimed Israeli-owned bakery and try some #food from each spot.

We also stop in and speak with the Jewish owner of a long-standing menswear business on Orchard Street, which was one of the major shopping streets for the large Jewish immigrant population in the early 1900s.

Places we visit include:

  1. Moishe's Kosher Bakery 504 Grand Street
  2. Global International 62 Orchard Street
  3. Michaeli Bakery 115A Division Street
  4. Sammy's Roumanian Style Restaurant 157 Chrystie Street

We also see interesting city street life and historic buildings in the Lower East Side along the way.
