No matter how much the City has changed over the centuries, New Yorkers have always had to deal with snow the same way: by shoveling. This great vintage photograph shows a bunch of workers shoveling snow on Broadway outside of the newly built Flatiron Building, then known as the Fuller Building. Here is a Google StreetView of the same view today:
