The Grace Church in Greenwich Village is one of the oldest in the City, first opening in 1846. Covering most of two entire blocks between 10th and 12th Streets, Broadway and 4th Avenue, the church's tall gothic-revival steeple dominates the area. Not much has changed with the church in the 120 years since this vintage photograph was captured, though the surrounding buildings have.
Check out the specimen page in the Library of Congress Digital Archives for more information on the vintage photograph.
