Captured around late 1908 or early 1909, this fantastic vintage photograph shows the construction of the Manhattan Bridge over the East River. This shot was taken from Main Street, in Brooklyn. Here is a Google Street View of approximately the same angle today, though you really can't see much of the bridge anymore:
