The Manhattan Bridge Opened to the Public On This Day in 1909

On this day in 1909, the Manhattan Bridge opened to the public for the first time. It was the 4th bridge to cross the east river from Manhattan, and is newer than both the Williamburg and Brooklyn Bridges.
