Captured sometime in the early 1940s, this vintage photograph shows the northeast corner of Lexington Avenue and East 45th Street, in Midtown East. Bickford's was once a major restaurant chain with several locations around the City, but have since gone out of business. Here is a Google StreetView of how the same intersection looks today. The Bickford's building is no longer there, but the surrounding buildings are:
