Captured by photojournalist Dan Budnik in 1976, this great vintage photograph shows the busy clothing shops that used to line Orchard Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side. For decades, Orchard street was the go-to spot for inexpensive clothing in New York City, a retail outlet for the immigrant-run businesses that often operated in the tiny tenement apartments above them.
