Daytonian in Manhattan recently dug up the history of this amazing lost church in Murray Hill on the corner of 34th Street and Park Avenue.

This vintage photograph shows the beautiful Church of the Messiah and the Park Avenue tunnel as it looked in 1890. The church was demolished in 1930 where an Art Deco apartment building sits now.

Check out the full article for more info on the church, or the Museum of the City of New York for more info on the photo.
