This great vintage photograph shows the intersection of West 47th Street and 7th Avenue in Times Square back in 1957, in full Kodachrome color. The view looks south down the square, with One Times Square at the end, and Father Duffy Square on the right. Here is a Google Street View of a similar vantage point today:
