This vintage photograph shows Times Square from above in 1964. This is looking north, with Broadway running from top-left to bottom-right, and 7th Avenue running from top-right to bottom-left in the image. From the best we can tell, the vantage point appears to be the top of One Times Square, the original New York Times building on the south end where the New Years Eve Ball is dropped. Near the top of the intersection is Duffy Square, where the red TKTS stairs are nowadays.
