The landmark Federal Hall is where America officially began. On April 30th 1789, New Yorkers gathered at the intersection of Wall and Broad streets to witness George Washington being sworn in as the first President of the United States. Learn more about this historic event and the imposing Greek Revival building that houses many artifacts and displays from America's birth as a nation.
Federal Hall Museum is free and open 9am to 5pm Monday through Friday except national holidays.
