Heading up to the 86th floor observation deck and peering out from the Empire State Building is one of those things that every tourist has to do once, and every local has done more times than they can count. Unknown to many, the deck is open until 2AM, long after the offices in the floors below close their doors. When the skies are clear, the views are stunning at night, and the lines are much shorter. I was fortunate enough to find an unused ticket for the PM session of the Empire State Building experience, but was completely unprepared for it. I only had my GoPro on me, and it isn't the best camera at capturing low light even when adjusting the ISO levels. Main deck portion of this video starts at 9:36.
