The genius data analysts at Crimson Hexagon recently took a bunch of Instagram data to create an interactive map and timeline of New York City's eating and drinking habits. As time goes by on the 24-hour map, an emoji blip will show a food order, check-in, drink, or restaurant visit at the location it happened.

To illustrate the true scale of #foodstagrasm, we've created an interactive data visualization using an Instagram insights platform to explore the most popular food-related hashtags on the social network. This data has been used to build a live map showing New York City’s eating and drinking habits over the course of 24 hours.

Check out the full interactive map to play around with the data.
