This Greenpoint Restaurant Serves up Backyard-Smoked Chickens From a Medieval Contraption

Achilles Heel is a gastropub in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, that amongst other things, serves up a weekly backyard-smoked barbecue chicken dish that is cooked upon a hand-made brick and metal contraption. In this video from Eater's The Meat Show, watch as host Nick Solares sits down to see how it all comes together.

Hell’s Chicken is served on Sunday nights at Achilles Heel, the bar at the edge of Brooklyn, and of the Andrew Tarlow empire. The birds are cooked over live coals and finished in cast iron, all on an outdoor grill that evokes a medieval torturer's dungeon. Watch as Nick Solares takes part in this unique Sunday ritual.
