This Gondola Proposal Could Connect Staten Island to Bayonne For More Efficient Transit

In an effort to reduce transit times and congestion into Lower Manhattan from Staten Island, a Gondola has been proposed by design firm Leitner-Poma of America that would connect Elm Park to Bayonne alongside the Bayonne Bridge.

[&hellip] the route was chosen because it is the most efficient in terms of cost, total length and travel time. Total travel time from Elm Park to the World Trade Center PATH station would be 33 minutes, including a 6-minute gondola ride.
