New York City always get a bad rap about being unfriendly to strangers and tourists, but new data actually shows that we've got some of the friendliest neighborhoods! Many of them have a stereotypical makeup of "Frat Bros", "Uptight Moms", or "Snobs" but these neighborhoods end up receiving the most incoming friend requests of all.

The team from Friendthem, a social connectivity app that helps people send friend requests across multiple platforms, recently compiled a list of the top neighborhoods in Manhattan with the most incoming friend requests.

  5. Lower East Side
  6. Greenwich Village
  7. East Village
  8. Flatiron/Gramercy
  9. Hell’s Kitchen
  10. Midtown

  14. Upper West Side
