The World Trade Center’s Elevated "Liberty Park" Will Open Soon

A new Lower Manhattan park the size of an acre that is 25 feet high in the air will open this summer at the World Trade Center. “Liberty Park” will overlook the 9/11 Memorial Plaza and will symbolize Anne Frank’s pursuit of peace and tolerance with a special white Horse Chestnut Tree sampling.

Liberty Park will be covered with more than 50 trees that are being planted right now. No exact opening date has been announced yet, but according to officials, the park should open to the public this summer.
