Take a Peek at The Second Weekend of Car-Free Summer Streets in New York City

Summer Streets is an annual event in Manhattan where cars are banned from on Lafayette St. and Park Ave. for three Saturday mornings in August. This allows continuous walking, biking, roller blading or running from City Hall up to 72nd Street without having to worry about being mowed down by a taxi. In this short video from StreetFilms, take a peek at the second of this year's Summer Street weekends. The third and last day to partake in the open car-free streets is next Saturday, August 19th.
