Online-shopping giant Amazon launched a new service today called Amazon Prime Now in which Prime members can get 1 or 2 hour shipping on select products. The 2-hour tier is completely free (minus the yearly cost of Prime membership of course), and for the very impatient, 1-hour delivery is just $7.99. The service area is very limited, with only zip code 10001 covered at launch, but knowing how Amazon works, they will most likely expand rapidly.
You place orders through a special app, available for free on the iTunes App Store or Google Play.
