No Santacon in the East Village or Lower East Side This Year

Looks like the reviled Santacon that we've written about previously is still looking for a place to call home just 3 days out from the ~~vomitous bacchanalia~~ charity event. Our friends at EV Grieve have the scoop:

That's the official word from the Community Board 3 office. No SantaCon within the confines of CB3, which covers the Lower East Side and part of Chinatown. The boundaries of the district are 14th Street on the north, the East River on the east and the south, and Fourth Avenue and the Bowery on the west, extending to Baxter and Pearl Streets and the Brooklyn Bridge south of Canal Street.

Of course, there will still be some unofficial sexy-santa-costume donning patrons bar-hopping that night, but the "official" crawl will have to find some other neighborhood to terrorize this year.
