Times Square's Midnight Moment is an art initiative by Times Square Arts in which all of the billboards in Times Square synchronize to show an audio/visual art piece at exactly 11:57pm everyday for 3 minutes.
This month's Midnight Moment is digital media artist Lorna Mills' short GIF Mountain Time/Light, which features a sunrise over a mountaintop, sped up to be timed with a human breath.
Mountain Light/Time is an animated GIF collage of a speedy sunrise over mountaintops, with each loop timed to match the duration of a deep breath. The collage creates a virtual inhalation and exhalation of mountain air and light in the middle of Times Square.
