Jason Peterson's Captivating Black and White New York City Photography

New York City photographer Jason Peterson has made a name for himself capturing amazing black and white photographs of the city on Instagram under the account @jasonmpeterson. Because he got his start with social roots rather than more traditional routes, he has amassed a major following with nearly a million followers on all his combined accounts.

Now, he is experimenting with a more traditional way of showcasing his art via a gallery opening. Jason Peterson's show New York in B&W, including prints like the ones above, is open now and will run through May 31st, 2015, at the Royalton Hotel in Midtown.

As the first installment of the Concrete Jungle Instagram photo exhibition series at NYC's Royalton Hotel, photographer Jason Peterson is unveiling a collection of images dubbed "New York in Black & White." Peterson manages to capture the essence of the city and present it in ways that are both familiar and also entirely the product of his own artistic vision. Remarkably, the majority of the works featured in this show have been shot on his iPhone.
