Check Out This Vintage Photograph of the Oyster Bar Restaurant at Grand Central Terminal Circa 1915

Photo: LOC

The Grand Central Oyster Bar, located on the lower level of Grand Central Terminal, opened in 1913 to much fanfare as a pleasant way to spend your time waiting for a train while at the station. In this vintage photograph captured by Detroit Publishing Co sometime between 1913 and 1920, it is easy to see just how classy it once was. Check out the specimen page on the Library of Congress archives for more info.
