Governor Cuomo yesterday revealed his plan to overhaul the aging La Guardia Airport, a place he called "un-New York" in its current dilapidated state. The Governor's $4 billion plan includes the consolidation of 4 terminals into one central hub, moving the entire site 1/4 mile south, the addition of an Airtrain to connect to the 7, and a 24-hour ferry service, amongst other improvements.
Governor Cuomo was joined today by Vice President Joe Biden to unveil the vision for the comprehensive redesign of LaGuardia Airport. The airport will be transformed into a single, structurally unified main terminal with expanded transportation access, significantly increased taxiway space and best-in-class passenger amenities.
