The Associated Supermarket on 8th Avenue and 14th Street will be moving soon, but only because their landlord increased the rent by 400%. Locals have organized a protest to express their anger at the management company behind the rent hike.
Local community members rallied outside Associated Supermarket in Chelsea Sunday, protesting a massive rent increase that would force the neighborhood staple to leave.
