2,000 Lighted Pigeons Fly Above Brooklyn Navy Yard in "Fly by Night" Performance

Local bird connoisseur and artist Duke Riley recently teamed up with Creative Time for a new performance project called Fly By Night which uses trained pigeons outfitted with bright LED lights and sends them soaring across the Brooklyn night sky.

An artist, Duke Riley, has trained 2,000 pigeons to fly above the Brooklyn Navy Yard with tiny lights attached to their ankles in a performance that will run every Friday, Saturday and Sunday through June 12.
