12-Year Old Finds Answers About New York City Snow Days and School Closures in New Documentary

This last Winter in NYC was one of the snowiest on record. With the extreme weather and polar vortexes much of the City's public infrastructure was affected at some point. Despite road closings, subway delays and other hurdles, the City did not close public schools once.

12-year old student Zachary Maxwell decided to find out why in a new documentary Anatomy of a Snow Day. The film premiered today at the SVA Theater, and a special viewing can be seen Wednesday, November 19th, at the Anthology Film Archives for just $6.
