World's Tallest Passive Residential Tower Rises on Roosevelt Island

Roosevelt Island will be the new home of the Cornell Tech Campus, and to house all the students and faculty, a new building is rising on the island, the largest passive residential tower in the world.

In this video from our friends at Inhabitat, take a tour of the under-construction passive residential tower for yourself.

Designed by Handel Architects and developed in partnership with the Hudson Companies, the ultra-sustainable Cornell Tech residential tower will provide high-quality housing for students and faculty on the school's new Roosevelt Island campus, and is expected to take the title of the world's first residential high-rise Passive House when complete.

Check out the accompanying article for more info and photographs of the tower.
