World Chess Championship Comes to a Close in NYC; Carlsen Remains Champ

A tie-breaking final game between grandmasters Magns Carlsen and Sergey Karjakin took place yesterday to determine the new World Champ. Could Carlsen defend his crown, or would underdog Karjakin take home the victory?

Norway’s Magnus Carlsen beat Russia’s Sergey Karjakin to win the World Chess Championship in New York. The final game was sold out and millions tuned in to watch the action online.
