Watch This Art Critic Explain Picasso's Guernica Painting to Commuters in the New York City Subway

Because Picasso never elaborated on his specific choices for the details within the painting, it is one of the most analyzed and discussed paintings as well. In this short video from New York Magainze, watch as an art critic helps passersby in the New York City subway explore the painting.

So our art critic, Jerry Saltz, took a replica of Guernica underground, in the hopes of learning what New Yorkers make of it and helping them understand the work.
