Now in its 101st year, the Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest took place yesterday on July 4th and as predicted, defending champion Joey Chestnut came out on top with an impressive 72 hot dogs.
Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo were crowned the winners once again this Fourth of July at the 101st Annual Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island in Brooklyn. […] On the men’s side, Joey “Jaws” Chestnut ate 72 hot dogs in 10 minutes to defend his title against the only competitor to beat him in the last 10 years — Matt “Megatoad” Stonie. Chestnut beat his own record of 70.
