Joey Chestnut Wins Coney Island Hot Dog Eating Contest Again, Breaks Own Record Again

The 2018 Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest took place yesterday on July 4th, and to nobody's surprise, Joey Chestnut took to top prize in the men's competition. He wolfed down 74 hot dogs in 8 minutes, breaking his previous record of 72 from last year. Check out the day's events in this short video from the New York Daily News.

Joey Chestnut proved it yet again: He’s second to bun. The unquestioned king of competitive eating slammed down a record 74 franks in steamy Coney Island, gobbling up the competition to capture his 11th Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog contest in the last 12 years.
