Vintage Photographs of Grand Central Terminal Give a Peek Back to 1940's New York City

Though incorrectly identifying Grand Central Terminal as Grand Central Station (the post office next door), TIME's Travel & Leisure site recently found some great vintage photographs from Grand Central in the 1940's.

Grand Central Station[sic] in New York City is still one of the most historic and glamorous places in the city. The sights in the travel hub during the 1940s may feature the same design details you can visit today (minus a few wartime-specific calls to action), the people are arguably the subjects in these throwback photos.
