This incredible vintage photograph of a Jewish market was captured on the East Side of New York, sometime between 1890 and 1901. It's hard to tell which street the market was on as the Jewish neighborhood extended wide across the Lower East Side, but it could very well be Essex, or Orchard St. Check out the specimen page in the Library of Congress Digital Archives for more info on the photo.
