[VIDEO] Here's What It Takes to be a Waitress at Junior's Restaurant in Times Square

New York Magazine's Vulture has a great video series called "The Deep End" in which producer Mady Mills finds out out how hard it is to make it in New York City by trying various careers she has no experience with whatsoever. In this recent video from the series, watch as she learns what it takes to be a waitress at the Junior's Restaurant Times Square location. No it's not the original (and better) location, but admittedly, it is probably a lot tougher to wait on tourists than on Brooklynites.

What does it take to make it as a waitress in New York? I have no idea. I’ve never been a server and I’m extremely prone to spills. Regardless, I decided to find out. So I tried to become a server at Junior’s, a restaurant in the city known for its cheesecake. It wasn’t pretty.
