After nearly a century, the first phase of the Second Avenue subway finally opened in Manhattan today. Q trains now stop at 96th Street, 86th Street, and 72nd Street.
It's official, the Second Ave Subway is now open! Here is some footage from opening day.
Governor Cuomo rang in the New Year below second ave as the new addition to the Q line ran for the first time. The Second Ave. Subway will be open to the public on New Year's Day.
