Unseen Stars, a Projected Campaign on Grand Central Ceiling to Honor Women in the Fields of Science and Technology

Unseen Stars is a campaign from General Electric that honors women in the fields of science and technology by placing "amongst the stars", the literal painted stars on the Grand Central Terminal ceiling.

Starting on Tuesday evening, the three-day installation, called “Unseen Stars,” will project the faces of distinguished female scientists onto the ceiling. Notable lights will include Mildred Dresselhaus, the “queen of carbon,” and the first woman to receive the National Medal of Science in engineering. Dresselhaus died in February.

Check it out until Friday at Grand Central Terminal's main concourse by simply looking up.
