This Union Square International High School Has a Bike Club That Teaches More Than Bike Repair

Students at the International High School at Union Square take part in a club after school, learning how to overhaul bikes. For students learning English for the first time, the club provides a place for them to engage in an activity without having to think about language barriers. As one students says, “My brain is connecting with my hands.”
