Oakland-based developer Kyle Pennell recently released his first project titled Yay! Music Map, an interactive map that plots out local concerts and shows in New York City, and others. Check it out!

I love seeing artists I haven't heard of play live. But I found it time consuming to determine who was playing where and what they sounded like. The current approach seems to be a lot of copy pasting between different sites/services. […] I hope Yay Music Map can help thousands of people go see more live music, especially artists they haven't heard of before. I hope it helps people get off the internet, go out, move their bodies, enjoy some excellent music, maybe talk to strangers, and have an awesome time.
