Gigbloc is a sweet new website which uses publicly accessible data for upcoming local shows and gigs around the City, then maps them and lets you listen to songs from the artist. It's tough to explain in one sentence, but basically it lets you find gigs near you, then listen to the musicians before buying tickets. It's a great way to find new artists nearby.

We love music, and we love discovering and supporting up and coming bands. We built Gigbloc so that music lovers can discover local bands playing in their area to support them, and to help bands promote themselves when they're getting started.

Right now, Gigbloc exists as a website, but the creators tell us that an iOS and Android App are coming soon. Sign up here to get notified when that happens.
