The puzzles get progressively harder throughout the weeks starting on Monday, with Sunday being a little easier that Saturday but a larger puzzle. Now you can quantify this formula through a great data visualization from Redditor rrreaderrr who plotted out the average word length of the puzzles per weekday from 1994 through 2017.
