The Peaceful Desolation of Winter in New York City's Favorite Summer Spot, Coney Island

Not many New Yorker's want to hang out on the beach during winter. A few brave souls bear the sub-zero wind chills to experience the rides at Luna Park (when open), and a handful will still walk the boardwalk, but attendance to the summer hot-spot during the cold winter months is just a small fraction of busier times. This beautiful video, uploaded by local reporter Maya Albanese, captures this serene and peaceful desolation of Coney Island in the Winter, punctuated by the lack of spoken word or music throughout.
