Supertalls Are Moving Uptown, Renderings of the UES's Potential New Skyscraper

While there have are numerous supertall buildings planned for 57th Street in Midtown a.k.a. "Billionaire's Row", none of them have ventured uptown... until now.

A new design proposal from architectural design firm KPF has a flashy supertall skyscraper lining the park on East 6th street. Not exactly Harlem, but the Upper East Side and uptown none-the-less.

The new images give an excellent idea of what’s in store for what could easily become the most prominent high-rise on the Upper East Side. The current development cycle will result in several new towers in the vicinity, with the tallest already under construction located at 520 Park Avenue, on the corner of 60th Street, one block to the west.
